Telematics Basics
Mazore supplies leading technology for telematics and telemetry applications at attractive prices. Our products make use of the possiblities of satellite positioning using GPS (Global Positioning System), satellite communication via INMARSAT and communication with the assistance of mobile communication networks (GSM: Global System for Mobile Communication). |
 |
|
These technologies facilitate automatic control, measurement or regulation and global positioning with accuracy down to a few meters. It is also possible to issue control commands and receive results and incident reports via mobile data communication (GSM) or satellite communication.
Telematics allows interaction on the basis of internet, telephone, fax, e-mail, SMS, voice activation, data call or GPRS.
This makes applications possible which in many cases reduce or eliminate the need for staff-intensive monitoring or even facilitate effective controls in the first place. |

With GPS satellite positioning vehicles or other moveable objects can be displayed on a digital road map or a detailed street map. In this way entire vehicle fleets can be tracked and controlled via a display with a simple mouse click. Each vehicle is fitted with a small on-board computer, also called an OBU, which receives the exact position of the vehicle and forwards this to the central control office via mobile radio communication. This on-board computer can also be used simultaneously for a large number of other tasks, ranging from navigation to reading CAN bus data to optimize vehicle deployment and the driver's style of driving, thus minimizing wear and tear.
In areas with unreliable mobile communication network coverage and for vehicles which are often deployed abroad INMARSAT devices can be used instead of mobile radio communication devices because Inmarsat offers global coverage and is often cheaper than expensive GSM roaming charges.
Recent years have seen the marketable development of RFID, a technology which will increasingly replace barcodes and allows the contactless radio identification of objects. This technology allows a large number of applications to be realized, such as the unbroken tracking of the content of a pallet including secure transfer during transport.
Our solutions are modular and are therefore suitable for both trucking and taxi companies, haulage contractors, bus companies, courier or security services and for the operators of large vehicle fleets such as car sharing and leasing companies. |

Our products can provide moveable goods such as vehicles or transport containers, and even individual packages with optimal protection against theft and misuse. It is therefore not only possible to check where vehicles or goods are at any time, but geographic areas can also be defined exactly so that an alarm is triggered if these are left without authorization (e.g., in the event of theft).
We collaborate closely with local security offices, which initiate the concrete action plan when an alarm is triggered and monitor its progress. These security offices are staffed by professionals who know what to do when such events occur.
Our products can also be combined excellently with existing applications, such as alarm and building services systems. If an alarm is triggered the police, security offices or users are notified immediately and can take appropriate measures. | |
 |
Systems can also be switched on and off or their settings adjusted via mobile telephone or Internet. in The user is automatically informed if the system malfunctions or breaks down. Industrial applications for our modules are also virtually unlimited. The need for solutions which make telecontrol, telecommand or telemetry necessary is growing on a daily basis. Some examples are described in more detail in the section Applications.
According to how these technologies are used, you can save a great deal of time and money with our products and increase the security of your products, real estate and means of transport and production. This digital technology facilitates the comprehensive tracking and uncomplicated control of processes and therefore also more efficient operational processes. |
